Why Are We Here?

Everyone asks this question at least one time in his or her life. I’ve asked it often. The good news is the answer to why we are here is available. The bad news is you must make a decision to accept the answer. To know the answer requires you to be willing to accept the truth of it. Are you ready?

If so, here it is! God loves you and loves you so much, he gave (and continues to give) us an opportunity to have a relationship with Him. That is all He has ever desired (to have a close and personal relationship with Him). We have the chance for that relationship through the free gift God gave us through Jesus.

So, all that said, what is this free gift? Simply stated, it is nothing more than us acknowledging that we cannot meet God’s standards (complete obedience to what He has told us). Jesus died a horrible death on a cross (have you seen the Passion of the Christ by Mel Gibson?) so we can ask God to be forgiven for our shortcomings.

Why ask God to forgive us? You will know when you ask. God gives us His peace and love when we ask Jesus into our hearts.
