Who is Jesus and what is all the fuss about Him? There is a great deal of historical evidence to answer that question, but the best source of that information is the Bible. We know based on the historical information that Jesus was a real man who lived sometime around the period from 4 BC to 33 AD. He was crucified (hung from a cross) when he was 33 years old. We know, based on the Bible, that Jesus was more than a man. He was also the Son of God. He lived so we could learn about God and then died as the final and ultimate sacrificial lamb. We know Jesus was raised from the dead on the third day after his death. He is now seated right next to God, interceding on our behalf If you want to learn more about Jesus, try reading the Gospel of John in the New Testament, then the other 3 Gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke). Find a local Christian church that has Bible classes. If you go to http://www.purposedrivenlife.com/, Rick Warren does a terrific job explaining it as well. Whatever you do, don't let another day go by without knowing for yourself who Jesus is and what He means to you. |
